Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyse flight dynamic models for uncrewed fixed wings and rotorcrafts.
  • Perform stability, control, and performance assessments for new/existing designs and optimises flight performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the mechanical team to refine airframe and control surface configurations for improved aerodynamic efficiency.
  • Conduct aerodynamic and flight simulations and assess handling qualities with the aid of computational tools.
  • Utilise computational tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, CFD software, and flight dynamics analysis software to support design and optimisation.
  • Define test plans and support flight test programs, including data analysis and validation.
  • Work closely with the avionics team to integrate sensors and flight control systems for enhanced performance and stability.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent Engineering or Applied Physics degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in flight dynamics modelling, stability & control analysis, and performance evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft, helicopter and UAS designs, systems, aerodynamics.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and CFD tools (such as ANSYS Fluent or SolidWorks flow simulation etc.) for flight mechanics applications.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, C++ is a plus.
  • Familiarity with flight testing procedures and data analysis techniques.
  • Understanding of aircraft/rotorcraft regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate technical findings effectively.
  • Passion for aviation and a strong desire to contribute to the future of UAS technology.
