About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed-term security officer to cover maternity leave from Mid-April up to one year. This role requires working with one of our major clients, covering two sites in Nelson. Reliability is essential in this role - our clients depend on us to keep their premises safe and be there when they need us. Our team are people with heart, who are dependable, consistent, face up to challenges, show respect and courtesy, and are committed to our communities.

You will receive the support needed to grow your skills and develop a fulfilling career. This role could lead to full-time employment in the future.

Shifts Required:

  • Mon and Thu: 4:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Sat and Sun: 3:30pm – 11:30pm
  • Minimum of 24 hours per week, with opportunity to pick up additional hours.

Mandatory Requirements:

To progress through the recruitment process, you must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks, including:

  • Driver's License, Credit Checks, Ministry of Justice Criminal History, and Immigration checks.
  • Legally eligible to work in New Zealand
  • Reliable transport and a Full New Zealand driver's license.
  • Ability to manage and resolve conflict effectively
  • Work independently or as part of a team
  • Honest, trustworthy, and reliable

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Brings a strong sense of responsibility and the right attitude
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high performance
  • Works collaboratively within a team environment
  • Previous security industry experience (preferred)
  • First Aid & NZQA Level 2 & 3 Security Qualifications (advantageous)
