Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
Are you someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? As a Scheduling Services Support Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient coordination of scheduling and examination services across the University of Canterbury.
In this role, you'll manage ad-hoc booking requests, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure examinations run smoothly and effectively. You'll also provide exceptional support to students during key periods, such as enrolment and examinations.
This role offers variety, with no two days the same. From coordinating schedules and events to supporting the examination process, you'll play a key part in ensuring UC's operational excellence and student success.
Mōu | Who You Are
You will have at least 3-5 years of administrative experience, as well as:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Enjoys working with a variety of people and building strong relationships.
- Thrives in a role where every day is different and brings new challenges.
- Is highly organised and can manage competing priorities with ease.
- Computer literate and competent user of all Microsoft Office programmes, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience working in a tertiary environment or experience of academic processes is desirable.
- Brings a positive attitude and works well both independently and in a team.
- Experience with different scheduling systems such as Time Edit is preferred but not essential - training will be provided.

You will be working with a dedicated team of scheduling superstars, responsible for the University course timetable, examinations, student accessibility arrangements, and ad-hoc bookings. Each team member has designated portfolios, making them subject matter experts in all things scheduling. We work in a fast-paced environment, where teamwork and providing support to one another is our priority.
