We currently have an opportunity for an experienced and talented Senior Consultant and Manager to join our Technology Strategy & Transformation consulting team. You'll work as part of a thriving team, alongside our clients.

At the intersection between business and technology, the Technology Strategy and Transformation team (TS&T) at Deloitte works closely with C-Suite and other Digital/IT leaders to help them overcome the various technology and strategic challenges they face in an advisory role. We work in multiple sectors and across the full IT lifecycle, including designing technology strategies and helping New Zealand businesses leverage technology on their digital transformation journeys.

Your typical day scope of work can include:

  1. Executive advisory
  2. Technology strategy and roadmap
  3. Technology review associated to mergers, acquisitions and divestments
  4. Operating model and organisation design within technology, transformation and digital functions
  5. Technology sourcing/procurement and core platform modernisation
  6. Enterprise architecture advisory including system rationalisation and scaling for future growth
  7. Transformation delivery including business case development and value realisation
  8. Technology programme design, IQA and recovery

As a Manager your day will also include:

  1. Engagement leadership, managing financials and resourcing for client engagements
  2. People leadership and coaching
  3. Business development/sales

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

  1. 3-5 years (Senior Consultant) and 5+ years (Manager) in consulting, advisory and/or professional services environment
  2. Experience providing services to clients at all levels on business transformation - advisory, business analysis, estimation/costing, solution proposal and/or vendor/technology selection procurement processes.
  3. Good knowledge of technology and enterprise architecture concepts through practical experience and knowledge of technology trends, e.g., Mobility, Cloud, Digital etc.
  4. Strong understanding of the technology organisation/function (e.g. core IT operations, ITIL/ITSM concepts etc)
  5. Exposure to a range of enterprise technology systems and solutions (ERP/HRIS/FMIS/CRM/BI etc)
  6. Demonstrable capability to be self-managing and results focused
  7. Confident at solving ambiguous problems, ability to break down complex problems
  8. Ability to structure thoughts in a logical flow with appropriate storytelling skills (e.g. Steering Committee and Board packs, final reports etc)
  9. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to research and analyze complex technology-related topics
  10. Experience facilitating workshops and translating findings into a structured summary
  11. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  12. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  13. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  14. A background in either large scale or complex programme delivery or prior roles in Business Analysis, Project Management, or Solution Design is advantageous, however your ability to leverage this experience in shaping and delivering recommendations to our clients is most important.

As a Manager you are also someone with:

  1. Business development and sales experience with proven results
  2. Leadership skills and experience to drive quality outcomes
