We are a Chartered Accounting Practice in Palmerston North looking to employ a highly motivated full-time Junior Accountant. Ideally, we are looking for this to be a full-time role; however, we are also open to part-time hours or flexibility to work around study timetables.

We are a small team who enjoy an excellent working environment and we all contribute towards providing quality accounting and business advisory services to an outstanding group of clients.

The role involves:

  • Preparation of simple Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns
  • Preparation of GST returns
  • Payroll preparation
  • Participation in ongoing training and development to expand your knowledge and skills

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or is in their final year of study (experience is not required)
  • Has strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Is a fast learner with an eye for detail
  • Has strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with other staff members and clients
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Has a professional attitude, commitment, and dedication
  • Is interested in pursuing a Chartered Accountancy career

A basic knowledge of any accounting programs such as MYOB or Xero would be a bonus.
