This is a key leadership role working with Value Stream Managers and other Delivery Leads to deliver work programmes aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation. As a Delivery Lead, you will manage a cross-functional team of BI specialists, testers, and business analysts, ensuring smooth delivery, removing blockers, and fostering collaboration. You will also play a vital role in guiding the team through change and empowering them to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

While we offer flexible working arrangements, we ask our people to be in the office at least three days a week to support collaboration and team connection.

Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will Bring

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to join our team and help drive success during an exciting period of organisation-wide technology transformation over the next 18 months. This role will be key in balancing day to day work while enabling the team to deliver on critical technology transformation initiatives.

With your ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to drive collaboration and shared success, here's what you will bring to the role:
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams within Business Intelligence, Data, or Analytics disciplines.
  • Track record in supporting and empowering cross-functional teams, providing guidance, removing blockers, and enabling effective collaboration.
  • Experience leading teams through change with confidence, resilience, and clarity, ensuring alignment with business goals while fostering team ownership and accountability.
  • Proven ability to take ownership and accountability for successful project delivery.
  • Experience working with Product Owners and business stakeholders to define priorities, negotiate deliverables, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Hands-on experience in Agile environments, including leading Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and work estimation (preferably using Fibonacci sizing).
  • Experience in setting clear performance expectations, coaching team members, and managing performance with a focus on growth and respect.
  • Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, and related tools to manage workflows effectively.
  • ETL & Data Transformation Expertise - Strong understanding of data transformation best practices; hands-on experience with cloud data and analytics platforms preferred. Working knowledge of Snowflake and Coalesce is a distinct advantage.
