Our clients are seeking a new H&S Business Partner in the Bay of Plenty, operating across multiple sites. Our clients are dedicated to fostering a culture where health and safety are at the core of everything they do.

About you:

Reporting into the GM of People and Safety, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture. Some of your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and mentor site-based H&S teams, fostering a proactive safety culture.
  • Provide expert advice and training to managers and employees on health and safety best practices.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective measures to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems, tracking H&S performance and presenting insights to senior management.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to embed health and safety into daily processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices to continuously enhance the H&S framework.
About you:

This role would be best suited to an experienced and motivated senior business partner or advisor who's looking to take the next step in their career, or an established safety manager with a proven track record of managing the safety systems and culture in a high-risk environment. Ideally, you'll have managed teams of safety advisors, possess excellent leadership and communication skills, and have strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, risk management, and compliance.
