This medium size facility is going through an exciting time of change and looking for a strong leader to come on board during this period and be at the forefront of this phase.
As Care Home Manager, you will influence best practices and the standard of care that is delivered to our older generation in residential services.
You will lead and manage a team of 40 staff in at this 45 bed aged care facility in Carterton.
This role requires both strategic and operational aspects to ensure the continued success of this facility.
You will be working in a rural setting and only a short trip to Carterton village. You will be working with one of the leading and largest aged care providers in New Zealand, with an abundance of opportunities for career growth and development. What you can expect;
- Exceptional senior operational support from regional and head office
- Enjoy working with autonomy and accountability in this role
- Hospital and Rest Home care services, a well-established site.
- Monday to Friday schedule with availability to be on-call during weekends
- $117k + depending on experience and relocation assistance if needed
What you need to do;
- Manage all aspects of the aged care facility, ensuring compliance and quality standards as well as creating a home environment.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members.
- Lead by example, creating and motivating a cohesive team
- Develop senior staff to deliver exceptional clinical support
- Maintain bed occupancy to be a viable functioning unit
- Ensure the most efficient use of human resources and materials
Skills and experience;
- Proven leadership experience.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Experience in audit management and compliance.
- Established networks within the local community, or ability to build.
- This role is open to both clinical and non-clinical.
