The Role

Reporting to the Protection Section Lead, you will be a Protection Engineer working closely with Ergo's transmission and distribution partners. This will involve engaging with key clients, utilising your protection knowledge to understand their challenges and making recommendations.

This will require you to curate protection schemes, settings, and reports, along with relay configuration for their technical challenges. Alongside external engagement, you will collaborate closely with the internal team of experienced Design Engineers and Power System Engineers to ensure there is synergy throughout projects.

About You

Bringing a passion for the future of the energy sector, you will be a qualified Senior or Principal Electrical Protection Engineer with strong experience in a range of transmission or distribution projects. Having undertaken protection studies, utilising tools such as Powerfactory, Sincal, or ETAP, you will bring extensive protection knowledge across a range of projects. Utilising your ability to document and openly discuss your technical solutions with clients is essential for the role.

This may see you as somebody at an asset owner, currently working as a Secondary Systems or Protection Engineer, bringing the desire to further develop your technical skills. Alternatively, you may be a Protection Engineer with a similar skillset in a consulting environment, seeking the opportunity to work as part of a passionate and high-level team in a supportive environment whilst enjoying a great work-life balance.
