We are looking for a Solution Architect to join our Digital Architecture team at Ara Poutama Aotearoa.

Ara Poutama Aotearoa is focused on caring for, and about people, and you'll find a direct connection between the work you do and organisational strategic goals.

We are looking for skills and experience to meet the needs of our Corporate Systems Product Group. This group is responsible for the delivery and maintenance of systems and digital assets used by both back office and frontline staff and includes critical business functions such as People and Capability, Payroll, Finance, Procurement and much more. Ara Poutama Aotearoa has one of the largest public agency workforces in New Zealand and this role plays an important part in ensuring employee experience and value for money is second to none.

The role of solution architect is wide and varied and you will be part of a like-minded team designing the digital future of Ara Poutama. Experience including adoption of modern technology and transformation of applications will help us put digital services in the hands of people who will benefit the most.

To do this role you'll need:

  • Experience of working within a product team to deliver strategic solutions in a large enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of an evolving landscape of business applications including hybrid environments with mixes of old and new technologies.
  • A good understanding of the following:
  • SAP platform and business capabilities, including SAP cloud technologies.
  • ServiceNow experience would also be beneficial.
  • Architectural experience of connecting business applications including integration and platform strategies.
  • Demonstrable understanding of underlying infrastructure platform considerations, including API and integration technologies.
  • Experience of leading design with strong relationship building and problem-solving skills.

The midpoint of the salary range is $147,765 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $125,601 - $177,318 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
