What we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly passionate Principal Security Consultant to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our exciting business. Candidates should have experience in the following:

• Leading high performance teams of security professionals
• Managing and maintaining enterprise security environments
• Developing security strategies and roadmap plans
• Designing and delivering security improvement programmes of work
• Leading customers through change and transformation
• Communicating with executive stakeholders
• Identifying market opportunities and building new service capabilities
• Ensuring customer success in a professional services business

You will also be able to confidently demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years experience in information security management roles
• Proven success in a professional services environment
• Commercial and business acumen in the context of information security
• Deep subject matter expertise in a number of security domains
• Coordinating security incident response activities
• Using security standards and frameworks such as CIS, ACSC Essential 8, NIST, PSR/NZISM to inform and deliver good security outcomes
• Professional development and industry certifications
• A natural ability to translate complex and technical information security concepts

What you will be doing:

You and your team will design, deliver, and lead security programmes of work for Layer 9 customers. These security programmes are strategically aligned with the organisation's goals and deliver measurable risk reduction outcomes.

• Delivering high-impact security outcomes for Layer 9 customers
• Authoring high quality reports and running customer workshops
• Providing quality assurance and ensuring exceptional customer outcomes
• Coaching and leading a high performance team of security professionals
• Optimising our service delivery schedule, resources, and revenue
• Innovating new solutions and services that solve complex security problems
• Contributing to sales opportunities and positioning for new business
• Advising on business decision making, guiding strategy, and fostering growth
