This organisation, based in central Auckland, is a well-known, successful global entertainment brand. They are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Financial Accountant to be part of their close-knit team.

About the role:

This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the CFO based in Australia.

  • Maintain accurate financial records in SAP.
  • Complete month-end processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Lead finance projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder experience.
  • Provide general support across the business in NZ and Australia.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns for review.
  • Manage payables/creditor processes including reviewing supplier invoices and payroll.
  • Prepare annual Group P&L and cash forecasts, including rolling and long-term forecasts.
  • Contribute to the design of internal controls and finance risk management framework.
  • Provide strategic input into the direction of the CFO alongside senior management.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities to optimize returns within the Group's risk profile.

About you:

  • 5+ years' experience in financial accounting, reporting, and analysis.
  • CA or CPA qualification - essential.
  • Experience within media/entertainment - an advantage.
  • Process-oriented with a commitment to excellence and routine.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality, trustworthiness, and professionalism.
  • Tech savvy, adaptable and responsive to change.
  • Creative problem solver with resilience in overcoming obstacles.
  • Proficient in Excel and experienced in financial modelling.
