Do you want to make a positive difference to people in your community? As Regional Trainer you will:

  • Facilitate, support and oversee all Support Worker training in accordance with Access Kaiāwhina Competency training and qualifications in the region.
  • Ensure that essential skills with our paid induction program and hands-on buddying are fit for our community support environment.
  • Work alongside line managers, in particular Care Coordinator Team Leaders and Support Worker Team Leaders to ensure a competent workforce.
  • The opportunity to contribute to the design and development of workplace training, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and other tasks, to meet operational needs of the Access workforce is a key component of the role.
  • Teaching experience and qualifications in adult learning, nursing, allied health, or teaching.
  • Experience in Health sector is desirable.
  • Hold a registered assessor qualification and be an approved Careerforce Assessor or have the ability to obtain this.
  • NZQA 4098 would be an advantage.
  • Hold or be prepared to undertake further study towards the Certificate in Adult Teaching.
  • Evidence of experience in standards-based assessment.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Competent with technology and Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to respond to the learning needs of groups and individuals in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Highly collaborative.
  • Able to work autonomously.
