Etco trains electricians, placing apprentices with host companies and offering courses for both apprentices and qualified electricians. ICE provides hands-on training in plumbing, gasfitting, drainlaying, and roofing. E-tec specialises in training for the electrotechnology and telecommunications sectors.

The opportunity

We are looking for a passionate Electrical Tutor in Rotorua. This full-time role will be instrumental in supporting student learning and achievement, helping students build a strong foundation for their careers in the electrical industry.

What you'll be doing:

1. Inspire and Educate: Deliver engaging electrical courses, assess student progress, and develop learning resources.
2. Support and Mentor: Coach students, track their achievements, and collaborate with mentors to ensure success.
3. Maintain a Great Learning Environment: Help manage training facilities, ensure resources are ready, and support workshop upkeep.
4. Champion Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture, follow regulations, and report any hazards.

What you'll bring:

• NZ Electrical Registration (Full Practising License, Inspectors Licence, or Electrical Engineering Degree or similar) – required.
• Extensive practical experience in the electrical industry.
• Experience in adult tertiary teaching or training is a plus (training support provided).
• Solid understanding of learning theories, student engagement, and curriculum planning.
• Experience in people management or supervisory roles.
• Proficient with Microsoft systems (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
