With 24 years of experience, RWA is New Zealand owned and a leader in the supply of Technology & Digital talent for both permanent and contract requirements. Our clients range from NZ's most recognised enterprise brands through to successful Kiwi start-ups competing on a global scale.

Our physical presence has historically been Auckland-based, and we established our South Island presence in 2023, primarily servicing clients in Wanaka, Dunedin, and Queenstown, and we are now looking to expand our business to Christchurch and the wider South Island.

About The Role

Due to continued growth and client demand, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal IT Recruitment Consultant to join the talented team at RWA Technology People. This appointment will focus on expanding our IT talent sourcing capabilities to businesses in Christchurch and across the wider South Island. Depending on your career aspirations, you could grow your desk, grow the South Island IT function, or even something bigger. The world is your Oyster

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build & Grow Your Desk - Take ownership of a specialist IT recruitment function, leveraging RWA's brand and network.
  • Business Development - Develop new client relationships while maintaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Candidate Engagement - Source, attract, and manage top IT talent across various domains.
  • Market Leadership - Establish yourself as a trusted expert by staying up to date with tech trends and attending industry events.
  • End-to-End Recruitment - Manage the full recruitment process, ensuring a seamless experience for both clients and candidates.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven IT Recruitment Experience - Minimum of 2+ years in IT recruitment with a successful track record.
  • Business Development Skills - A natural ability to win and grow client relationships.
  • Resilience & Drive - Self-motivated with the ambition to build and scale a high-performing desk.
  • Tech Market Knowledge - A strong understanding of the IT sector and hiring challenges.
  • Collaboration - A team player who thrives in a high-performing, supportive culture.
