Clinical Coordinator CAMHS - Kari Centre at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

Clinical Coordinator – Referrals and acute focus team. Kari Centre

Child and Adolescent mental health service

Full Time permanent Position

Exciting opportunity to join the leadership team at the Kari Centre, a well-established iCAMHS team based at Greenlane Clinical Centre, Auckland.

The Kari Centre is the community-based service provided for children and adolescents living in the central Auckland catchment who may be experiencing a mental illness.

Our team is made up of experienced mental health professionals including Specialist Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Child Psychotherapists, Mental Health Nurses, and Occupational Therapists, as well as cultural support staff.

We are looking for a motivated clinician to provide clinical leadership for the designated "Front end" of our service, including referrals management, CHOICE (initial appointments), and our acute focus team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Oversight and management of clinical systems and processes.
  2. Ensuring appropriate review of service user care.
  3. Providing clinical support and guidance to clinicians.
  4. Supporting our service to meet key performance objectives.

Reporting to the Clinical Team Leader, there will be opportunities to take part in recruitment and retention activities, as well as involvement in service development projects. You will work closely with the Lead Clinician and other leadership members of the service.

You will need to be clinically experienced with proven leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively at a senior clinical level with service users, colleagues, mental health service providers, government agencies, and the NGO sector. There will be an opportunity to develop your leadership skills through the Auckland District's Leadership Development Programme.

We welcome applications from experienced NZ registered Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, and Social Workers.

Experience working with the CAPA model, or with referrals management, or community acute teams would be an advantage.

You must be a NZ registered Mental Health Professional with a current APC.

A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community-based role.
