Te whiwhinga mahi - Our opportunity

As a Senior Business Analyst within our Infrastructure and Applications team, you'll be joining a high performing and cross functional team of Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Project Managers. With a primary focus on large scale projects within the Infrastructure and Applications space, you'll enjoy a hybrid working environment within a collaborative team.

You will be accountable for gathering, analysing and communicating high quality business and systems requirements to inform good decision making and fit-for-purpose business solutions. We are looking for a true generalist who has worked across the lifecycle and who can bring their top-notch problem-solving skills to the role and be a go to member of the team.

As this is a senior role, you will demonstrate leadership by actively coaching and mentoring others, being an active member of the team sharing ideas and experiences. You will provide analytical support to ensure complex business problems are able to be addressed and appropriate outcomes are successfully identified and implemented. To be successful in this senior role you will need to have excellent knowledge of business analysis and tools, detailed planning, a strong customer focus and skilled at achieving consensus between differing stakeholder views. Building strong relationships is a must.

Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu - What You Will Bring

If you have prior experience in a Senior Business Analyst role in a technical environment, a natural ability to provide technical leadership to junior Business Analysts and are comfortable engaging with senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders, then we would like to hear from you.

Here's What You Will Bring To The Role
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in defining and developing business and system requirements as part of business systems development for large businesses.
  • At least five years of prior experience in a Business Analyst or preferably Senior Business Analyst role within a tech focused team.
  • The ability to deal with complex issues and to think "outside the box" when determining solutions to problems.
  • Ability to investigate business problems and opportunities (including benefit identification), using current state analysis techniques, root cause and business objective analysis.
  • Ability to present logical analysis (in writing and orally), debate issues credibly and influence decision makers, partners and colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presenting to senior stakeholders and facilitation.
Nōu te rourou - What's in it for you?

We offer competitive salaries, five weeks' annual leave, and flexible working arrangements. As a Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities employee, we want to make sure that you have all the tools and support you need. We want to ensure you are healthy and have work-life balance.
