Our 3-2-1 Hybrid Working Model
- 3 days from anywhere in Australia or Aotearoa New Zealand per week,
- 2 days from an RACP office location per week,
- 1 of the two days per week in office spent with your team.

- 12-month contract
The Senior Project Officer will work closely with the Cultural Advisors and the Education, Learning and Assessment teams to manage a project to scope, develop, and deliver an Indigenous curriculum for the RACP. Key to success is ensuring the curriculum is culturally relevant, respectful, and effective in addressing the educational needs of Indigenous trainees and healthcare professionals across Australia and New Zealand the College and the broader health system; and in alignment with RACP curricula models and frameworks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the integration of cultural safety principles and Indigenous pedagogies across the curriculum.
- Coordinate the development of educational materials and resources that reflect Indigenous knowledge, histories, and health practices.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are met in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular consultations and forums to gather input and feedback from Indigenous leaders and trainees.
- Prepare detailed submissions and reports to inform decision making in respect of Indigenous Health. This may include briefing papers for the RACP Board and other College Bodies as required.
The Successful Candidate
To be successful in the role, the candidate will have proven project management experience and strong organisational skills. Further skills and experience include:
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Medical/ health/ education curriculum knowledge and experience
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Sound judgement and decision-making capability, in the context of a complex training environment with high levels of uncertainty and conflicting stakeholder views
- Well-developed analytical, political judgement and strategic thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to build positive and constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to progress work priorities.
- Experience working with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
- Tikanga: Has good self-identity in traditional ways of knowing and doing
- Cultural competence and sensitivity.
- Attitude of cooperation and positivity and high standards of ethical behaviour
