Your new opportunity:

This role is responsible for providing technical Rural valuation leadership to ensure the short- and long-term growth and success of Opteon. The successful candidate will work closely with the Valuations Director - Government to implement and deliver the Business Unit Strategy. The strategic motivation for the role is to lead the development of staff, implement successful training processes, and deliver triennial revaluations and other valuation outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Valuation Delivery:
    • Deliver all valuations, including revaluations and roll maintenance.
    • Ensure the delivery of triennial revaluations to achieve Office of the Valuer General certification.
    • Market valuation for banking, finance and private clients.
  • Training and Development:
    • Implement effective, consistent valuation training for Valuers within the Government Services team.
    • Facilitate training for all staff to enable effective use of the Valor system.
    • Support our team of rural graduates through to Registration, ensuring the long term success of our rural team.
  • Efficiency and Implementation:
    • Review and implement task efficiencies to ensure the Government Services team delivers outcomes on time and within budget.

The right candidate will have strong relationships within their local markets, bringing in potential revenue and growth opportunities.

  • Registered Valuer with a strong background in rural valuations.
  • Proven experience in technical valuation leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and training abilities.
