Larnach Castle is an iconic visitor attraction in the heart of the Otago Peninsula. Built in 1871 by William Larnach, the castle holds fascinating stories of the past and offers a glimpse of the Victorian lifestyle. We are seeking a passionate and confident Senior Housekeeper to join our dynamic team.

We require someone who is physically fit, has a professional manner, a strong eye for detail and who works well in a team. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.

Shifts can start as early as 6.30am, and finish as late as approximately 6pm.

Essentially this is a role where you will oversee the team on days the Housekeeping Supervisor is not on duty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deputising for the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • This is a hands-on role
  • Adept in the allocation of tasks for the Housekeeping team
  • Checking of rooms ensuring set standards are achieved
  • General cleaning duties for our accommodation as well as specialised work in the Castle.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has Cleaning/Housekeeping experience
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Is organised with an eye for detail
  • Is physically fit to carry out housekeeping tasks
  • Has strong communication skills

This is a permanent full-time position.
