Role

You will be joining a diverse and talented team with a vast breadth of knowledge and track record, where innovation and delivering the best for our clients is at the heart of every decision we make. In this role, you will be part of the team working with clients, contractors and vendors to deliver a diverse range of projects across New Zealand, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. You will gain experience across industries including minerals & metals, food & life science, wood & fibre, energy and manufacturing. While each project you work on will be different in scope and scale, you will be:

  • Preparing process designs on multi-discipline projects, including PFD and P&ID development, developing specifications for process equipment and supporting the tendering of major equipment
  • Working with our clients to improve process capacity or troubleshoot issues either in the main plant or in the utility space
  • Gaining industrial site experience through short to long term assignments as part of site-based engineering teams during the design and construction phases in regional New Zealand, New Caledonia and Indonesia
  • Supporting HAZOPs and other process safety reviews
  • Attendance at design and site meetings

You will have the opportunity to both learn from our leading Principles, process experts, delivery leads and project specialists, as well as having scope to have your say and contribute. Working at Beca will provide you with access to a truly multi discipline business where you can draw on technical experts to support delivery of significant and complex projects across complex process engineering projects in brown and green field sites. You will have input into how projects are delivered, being encouraged to make suggestions and voice your thoughts on solutions.

This role will be based on Beca's Auckland office with our Industrial team of 75 diverse and passionate engineers, process experts, designers and project delivery teams. To be successful in this role, you will be a Process Engineer looking to make a difference with a passion for project delivery excellence. You love to learn and share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You will also have an enquiring mind and be able to problem-solve and think laterally. You are a qualified Process Engineer with a passion and good problem-solving skills. You have grown your technical design, process engineering and project management experience through working on projects for heavy industrial, food and beverage processing facilities, or related industrial sites. You will have experience and understand the design process, as well as being able to understand how designs and solutions impact on site. Experience working on-site building relationships with operations teams and the related requirements of being on site, will be an advantage.
