Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Harikoa Service, located in Aidenfield, is home to four vibrant young women: Kelly, Rachel, Tracy, and Shelly. They are passionate about activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, swimming, singing, dancing, and shopping at malls or markets

We are seeking an experienced individual who can bring enthusiasm and creativity to support these young women in their diverse interests and passions. You will engage in activities like swimming and exercise, providing both support and companionship.

You will be energetic, empathetic, and able to work alongside this person focusing on creating a life of rich and diverse experiences while being able to read situations, problem-solve, and apply boundaries or offer space. Daily tasks include supporting with daily routines while encouraging independence to develop skills and personal growth. You will have the confidence to support personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting and extending people's ability to access and be part of their wider community. If you are looking for a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.

This position's salary scale is set by pay equity and depends on qualification level, paying between $23.15 and $28.25 per hour.

  • Sunday to Wednesday - 7am to 4pm

Role

You will either be an experienced Support Worker looking for a change or you are simply looking for a career where your enthusiasm and passion for helping others will make a real difference in people's lives. To thrive in a Support Worker role at Hōhepa, you will be:

To be successful in this role, you will need to obtain a Level 2 Health and Wellbeing Certificate or a relevant qualification and have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
