What will you do?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Systems Analyst to join our Finance team in Christchurch. In this role, you'll play an integral role in our finance function by overseeing and improving our financial systems and processes.

As the Financial Systems Analyst, you will be supporting system maintenance, automating financial workflows, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial data across our platforms. Working closely with both our wider Finance and Technology teams, you'll assist with system enhancements, provide user support to ensure stakeholders have the knowledge to operate the systems effectively.

To succeed in this role, you will bring experience in financial systems administration, a strong understanding of financial data integrity and controls, and the ability to document technical processes clearly and concisely. You will also possess analytical problem-solving skills, experience in implementing and maintaining system governance frameworks, and strong collaboration abilities to work effectively across our wider teams.

This dynamic role will allow you to make meaningful contributions that enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of our financial systems playing a key part in driving operational excellence between our Finance and Technology teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in gathering user requirements from Finance teams
  • Deliver training sessions and support for new and existing users on financial systems
  • Maintain system documentation, including process flows, specifications, and user guides
  • Create and maintain training materials and user documentation
  • Enable change in transforming how financial systems and processes support our business operations
  • Validate data integrity within reports and queries, in partnership with our Data and Insights teams

Who are you?

  • You have proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record in implementing financial system improvements, managing user support, and maintaining data integrity
  • You have experience with working with financial planning tools (IBM Planning Analytics/TM1 preferred but not essential)
  • You have experience in ERP systems (GreenTree preferred but not essential)
  • You have experience in being a change champion
  • You have familiarity with using project management and data visualisation tools
