Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand Role Call Full time

Lenvo - who we are.

As the fastest-growing Agri-business in New Zealand, we're on a mission to deliver real, meaningful change to the agricultural sector. With our world-leading on-farm monitoring suite, we've helped farmers to improve their efficiency, productivity & sustainability. As we continue to expand across Europe and deeper into NZ markets, we're looking for a world-class Head of Engineering who will lead our Technology strategy and delivery team.

  • Levno is headquartered in Palmerston North, but we also have offices in Wellington, Auckland, and Dublin. This role can be based anywhere in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch (travel will be required to Head Office)
  • Influential role where you can make a significant impact
  • Attractive ESOP package.
The Role:

We're looking for a Head of Engineering who wants to build more than just great software—someone who's passionate about scaling teams, shaping product direction, and leaving a real mark on a company that's changing the game in AgTech.

You'll report directly to our CEO and be a key part of our leadership team. You'll be influencing from day one—not just over technology decisions, but also in how we grow, how we deliver, and how we collaborate across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Defining and delivering our engineering strategy; own the technical vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and product direction.
  • Leading and scaling a high-performing engineering team; create a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement while mentoring and building capability of the team.
  • Partnering with the CEO and leadership team; including board presentations; to contribute to company-wide planning and provide insights on how technology drives growth and impact.
  • Ensuring engineering excellence and delivery; overseeing architecture, system design, and technical operations to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions.
  • Embedding best practices; championing best practice engineering principles, agile methodologies, and robust processes across teams and functions.
  • Managing budgets, resources, and vendor relationships; ensuring smart allocation of time and tools to maximise team performance and ROI.
Your experience and what you bring to the team:
  • You've led engineering teams at scale—ideally in high-growth SaaS, product-led, or start-up environments—and know how to balance strategy with delivery. Preference is for someone familiar with both software & hardware.
  • You're technically sharp and happy to stay close to the code or architecture when needed, while also building systems and processes that scale.
  • You're a natural coach/mentor, committed to developing people, building diverse teams, and creating a culture of high performance and trust.
  • You collaborate effortlessly across disciplines and know how to translate technical detail into business impact.
  • You think commercially and know how to prioritise the work that moves the dial.
  • You've got the adaptability and resilience that comes with building in fast-paced, ever-changing environments, and the curiosity to find better ways of doing things.
This is a career-shaping opportunity for someone who is looking for a well-positioned, growth-focused business.

If you are interested in the role, please apply here or call Vanesha Din 021569499 for a confidential discussion.

Please note this job is only open to those with current NZ work rights.
