About the role:

Based at the Auckland CBD Head Office, this sole charge role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be a member of the Southern Cross Healthcare senior leadership group.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the provision of legal services across the business, ensuring that the legal risks for the organisation are minimised and all rights are maximised. As a key contributor to this cohesive and collaborative senior leadership team, you will provide strategic, commercial and technical legal advice in a proactive, timely and commercial manner to advance the vision and purpose of this iconic New Zealand success story.

What we're looking for:

  1. A commercially savvy senior lawyer with upwards of 10 years PQE
  2. Extensive experience in corporate and commercial contracts, complemented by a versatile legal skillset and relevant industry experience. Previous in-house experience preferred but not essential
  3. You will be at ease in a highly regulated environment that is experiencing significant change
  4. Proactive and pragmatic style with outstanding communication, influencing and negotiation skills
