About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
As Project Engineer - Control Systems, your key focus will be on our Automation and Infrastructure projects. In this role, you will provide technical support and project management for control systems and process safety initiatives as well as associated applications across our manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for managing Control systems and infrastructure replacement projects from concept to closeout.

Reporting to our Control Systems Projects Manager, you will ensure that our automation and IT projects have complete scope including technical architecture, prices, benefits, and reasons for the capital proposal. You will provide guidance to ensure the process of implementing and bringing new ideas & technologies meets business requirements. As part of our high performing team, you will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and ensure external contractors are professionally managed on our manufacturing sites.

Ideally you will be based in Hamilton and be willing to travel nationally for projects as required.

About you | Mōu
You are an autonomous forward-thinking engineer with a background in manufacturing systems project delivery and a passion for automation and continuous improvement. You possess solid problem-solving skills and have proven experience with control systems and infrastructure.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  1. End-to-end project and contract management experience with exposure to working across multiple projects
  2. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and develop collaborative relationships
  3. An automation background in IT/OT networks, PLCs, HMIs and control architecture such as Schneider and Rockwell systems.
  4. A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Electrical background would be beneficial but not required.
