We are seeking a fully qualified, experienced vet to join our Dunedin Centre team.

Working closely with a veterinary nurse, you will provide high professional standards of veterinary care for animals presented to, and under the care of SPCA. Together you will run our small veterinary clinic within the Dunedin Centre, so will need to be comfortable working unsupervised, with collegial and professional support from our Head Vet at Christchurch when required.

What we need from you:

  • An experienced veterinarian with proven clinical skills and professional registration as a vet.
  • Experience doing surgical procedures both routine and non-routine.
  • Ability to work in a high-performance, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Be a self-motivated team member, who is enthusiastic and passionate about animal welfare.
  • Be a quick thinker who is skilled at multi-tasking and able to prioritize and effectively manage workloads.
