Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doing

The Industry Trainer plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive pastoral and academic support to learners enrolled in a wide range of business qualifications. These qualifications span from foundational levels in business administration, contact center operations, and project management, to advanced diplomas that prepare future business leaders. As an Industry Trainer, you will be responsible for fostering a learning environment that supports the development of key skills, knowledge, and competencies across these various business sectors, ensuring that learners are not only engaged but are also prepared to thrive in the dynamic and evolving business world.

You will provide both academic guidance and pastoral care, ensuring learners' progression and overall success throughout their qualification journey. This includes helping learners build a deep understanding of critical business functions—whether it's managing administrative operations, leading projects, providing exceptional customer service in contact centers, or advancing leadership capabilities in a business setting. Your role will ensure that each learner gains practical insights into industry best practices, while also developing essential skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Beyond just academic support, you will foster a connection between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. You will assist learners in developing the competencies necessary to excel in various business environments, preparing them for leadership roles and professional success. By ensuring learners gain expertise in areas like business administration processes, project management methodologies, and effective leadership strategies, you will directly contribute to the creation of a highly skilled workforce ready to meet the demands of tomorrow's business world.

In addition to facilitating learner engagement and progression, you will be responsible for marking assessments for assigned cohorts, ensuring timely and constructive feedback. This feedback will not only assess the learner's understanding of business concepts but also help to guide them in honing practical, transferable skills. Your feedback will be designed to help learners refine their abilities in critical business areas, such as effective communication, team collaboration, strategic planning, and leadership. You will be instrumental in creating an enriching educational experience that prepares learners to successfully transition into the workforce, whether they are managing teams, optimizing business processes, or leading complex projects.

Desired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bring

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in business, education, or training.

Experience in learner assessment, pastoral care, and academic support.

Strong ability to track progress, provide feedback, and engage learners effectively.

Proficiency in LMS, CRM, and Microsoft Office tools.

Excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills.

Experience in supporting learner placement and industry pathways is a plus.
