The Opportunity
In this Supply Chain Specialist role, your primary responsibility is the optimisation and use of RP's existing MRP system. You will work with key stakeholders across our business to ensure the system is supporting business processes and that best practices are being followed - so we get the best of the efficiencies and information required. You will cover all aspects of MRP system usage from working with our teams, to developing and improving business processes, managing system upgrades, training, and monitoring usage.
You will focus on optimizing the digital tool, enhancing employee skill sets, ensuring full utilization of MRP and supply chain planning tools, and maintaining high standards of master data management. The work you will do in this role will directly contribute to improving decision-making within the business and streamlining processes in a fast-evolving environment.
This role reports into our Business Systems Manager. The primary goal of our Business Systems team is to analyse system and reporting requirements and produce workable solutions to integrate adequate systems and processes. This includes change management and training for users, and ongoing evaluations of systems, maintaining performance that meets current and future expectations.
Our successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience with at least one (ideally more) MRP and/or ERP systems
- Change management experience in a manufacturing environment – knowing manufacturing methodology
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with managing change to business processes and systems
- Energy and passion for the work, self-driven with a strong reputation for performance and delivery
- An ability to work in a partnership model, able to think in big picture anticipating future needs
- Multitasking skills, able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- A process-oriented approach
- Detail-orientation with strong organizational and time-management skills
- An ability to think strategically and identify opportunities to improve processes and procedures
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization to ensure collaboration
- The ability to easily translate technical terms to a non-technical audience
- An ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Positive outlook, energized by challenge and change.
- (ideally) Previous experience (within a manufacturing department) in an R&D or development company.
- (ideally) Demonstrated experience in enhancing manufacturing capabilities.
- (ideally) Previous experience implementing change and new systems, or processes
This is a permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week). You will spend time at both of RP's sites, currently located in Te Puna and Tauriko (both in Tauranga). Towards the middle of 2025, we will move to a newly built HQ, located in Tauriko, Tauranga.
