Women's Wrestling Head Coach

Chatham University welcomes applications for the position of Women's Wrestling Head Coach in our Athletic Department.

The Women's Wrestling Head Coach is a member of the administrative staff of Chatham University, reporting to the Director of Athletics. This position directly supervises the assistant coaches, student support personnel, and student athletes. The Head Women's Wrestling Coach has responsibility for the overall development and maintenance of the Chatham University Women's Wrestling Program. This includes structural and administrative organization of the program as outlined in the responsibilities listed below:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Work collaboratively within the University to plan, organize, implement, and follow up on an extensive ongoing recruiting effort through written, verbal, and personal contact with student-athletes.
  2. Oversee compliance with rules and regulations.
  3. Oversee the appointments and supervision of the assistant coaches and support staff for the women's wrestling program.
  4. Coordinate athletic planning, program development, and assessment that focus on student-athlete performance, personal and leadership development.
  5. Build a competitive program with strong recruiting both nationally and internationally.
  6. Strategically plan and execute scheduling as well as travel arrangements of conference and non-conference games and tournaments to advance the women's wrestling program and maximize use of financial resources.
  7. Prepare student-athletes for competition through thorough analysis and breakdown of scheduled conference and non-conference opponents.
  8. Develop, recommend, and implement specific training/conditioning programs and skills development programs.
  9. Cultivate alumni and other constituents to further goals of the women's wrestling program, athletics department, and Chatham University.
  10. Oversee budget and resource management for the women's wrestling program.
  11. Coordinate athletic events and programs that are planned intentionally to enhance campus community and school pride.
  12. Ensure proper safety precautions are always followed.
  13. Ensure adherence to the rules, regulations, and policies of all governing bodies.
  14. Work in coordination with the Director of Athletics, other coaches, and staff to support and achieve the overall goals established by the athletics department.
  15. Work with other students, faculty, and staff to support the retention of student athletes and promote teamwork, set high standards, and support the academic, personal, and leadership development of its students.
  16. Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Athletics Director.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of coaching experience.
  3. Computer proficiency.
  4. Valid driver's license.

Salary Range:

$41,300 - $46,900. 40-hour work week. Exact compensation based on candidate skills and experience.
