About the Role
We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our dynamic and dedicated team in the Audiology Department. Our small, collaborative team is committed to delivering exceptional audiological services to our community. We specialize in diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological services for eligible individuals, and we maintain strong, collaborative relationships with other healthcare professionals including ENT specialists and Newborn Hearing Screeners.
About the Location
Te Whatu Ora Health NZ – Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua MidCentral (MidCentral) provides healthcare services to over 180,000 people across the Manawatu, Horowhenua, and Tararua regions. With a large hospital campus at Palmerston North, the health care provider also provides key health care and support services to neighbouring communities. Palmerston North is a major university city and is at the hub of key routes to the central North Island ski fields and river adventures. Wellington, the capital city, is only a two-hour journey by road, as are the wine-growing regions of Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa.
About you
We are offering a full-time permanent position, working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE). The successful applicant will require:
- Full membership with the New Zealand Audiological Society and possession of a current annual practicing certificate.
- A current paediatric certification in Visual Reinforcement Audiometry (VRA) and/or Habilitation (HAB) and experience working with children are preferred, but we strongly encourage applicants without paediatric certification to apply, as we are happy to provide the necessary training and support.
- A valid driver's license is required to facilitate coverage of clinics located in the community, specifically in Levin and/or Dannevirke.
