Are you passionate about helping people thrive in their roles? This is your chance to help shape the future of conservation through people.

We're looking for a skilled and passionate Learning & Development Facilitator (Trainer) to grow the capability of our kaimahi across the country. In this role, you'll do more than just deliver training. You'll design and deliver learning experiences that support our teams to thrive and use new technology. The position will:

  • Deliver and facilitate training aligned with the implementation of Workday — virtually, in-person, and everything in between
  • Collaborate closely with leaders, subject matter experts, and the Organisational Development team to co-create and roll out engaging learning experiences
  • Adapt and evolve training content based on learner feedback, best practices in adult education, and our organisation's changing needs
  • Champion DOC's strategies for Diversity and Inclusion, Speak Up, Safety, and Wellbeing, ensuring these values are embedded in everything we do

If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:

  • 3+ years' experience in training, facilitation, or capability development
  • Expertise in adult learning principles and training evaluation
  • Confidence in working with diverse groups and navigating complex environments
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across functions and locations
  • Creativity and flexibility in using a variety of delivery approaches (virtual, face-to-face, blended)
  • A keen eye for opportunities to improve how we train, what we train, and the impact it makes
  • Experience working within a Te Ao Māori and Tikanga context

The HRIS Project Architecture and Integration Team sit within the Organisational Support Group. Our purpose is to ensure DOC is resourced, capable, financially secure, technologically enabled, and safe. We are responsible for ensuring we have the necessary frameworks, resources and support to enable us to achieve our objectives.

DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow. We're working towards being an organisation that is diverse, equitable and inclusive by default.
