About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Cluster Director of Talent & Culture, The role of Assistant Talent & Culture Manager will work in collaboration with the Talent & Culture team to deliver generalist HR support to Rosewood Matakauri, while having a strong focus on Talent Acquisition, driving recruitment across the three Rosewood properties in New Zealand including; Rosewood Kauri Cliffs, Rosewood Cape Kidnappers and Rosewood Matakauri.
Together we harness positive, productive and engaged teams.
Talent Acquisition: Leading all Talent Acquisition efforts for Rosewood Matakauri, as well as driving the seasonal recruitment campaign across all three New Zealand Rosewood properties. Building and nurturing strategic industry relationships to maintain a strong talent pipeline, and utilising your experience to drive purposeful recruitment, sourcing talented and passionate associates to create exceptional experiences.
Onboarding Associates: We don't just hire people to work – we welcome them into who we are. You will be a part of ensuring every new associate truly understands who we are, and why we do what we do through our orientation program – The Perfect Discovery.
The Assistant Talent & Culture Manager will also assist with seamless onboarding of permanent and seasonal Associates, including co-ordination of the staff housing, welcoming, supporting and settling international team members into the country and their roles.
Generalist Talent & Culture (HR): Working closely with Management and the Talent & Culture team to provide learning and development opportunities, present recommendations, and exercise sound and fair judgement when providing advice to Managers in matters of performance or conduct management.
As well as be a trusted advisor for managers and associates with Employee Relations – providing advice and support on employee relation matters and conflict resolution.

About you:
- A strong recruitment background.
- A practical understanding of NZ employment law and work visas.
- An aptitude for building strategic and collaborative partnerships.
- A desire to develop your HR knowledge, skills and expertise.
- A relevant HR (or similar) tertiary qualification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional organisation skills.
- Confidence with general IT.
- Digitally creative – ideally confident using Canva.
- A high degree of professionalism and honesty.
- The ability to uphold confidentiality and sensitive information, both on and off duty.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Plenty of enthusiasm and a flexible approach.
- You will be resilient, with a strong work ethic and will take pride in the talent acquisition, and associate placements within our teams.
