About the Role:
The role of Site Store Lead is to support DGC's operations by coordinating the store operation including arranging and managing the location of spares in store, monitoring and maintaining spare parts inventory levels, coordinating spare parts for annual maintenance activities, and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
The role will also contribute to the administration of the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) including data entry, adding and recording spare parts, receipting of invoices, raising purchase orders, and managing documentation and manuals for the team.
Working closely with the Stores Assistant, the role will also oversee the coordination of inwards and outwards goods for the wider DGC site including purchasing, storage, and distribution of consumables to the various teams, stock take of stores inventory, working with the DGC purchasing team to support strategic sourcing, and supporting DGC's food defence system by controlling the access of delivery vehicles.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Managing the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Processing purchase orders, invoices, and work orders.
- Coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, including stocktakes.
- Controlling site access for delivery vehicles.
- Maintaining relationships with DGC suppliers, couriers, and delivery companies.
- Organising storage for spare parts and site consumables.
- Supporting and guiding the Stores Assistant.
- Tracking and allocating costs for consumables.
- Experience working in stores – inwards goods, outwards goods.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately record information.
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps and services including Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong time management and prioritisation abilities.
- Basic mechanical & electrical knowledge is advantageous.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
