The Opportunity - Te tūranga:

Being the technical savvy in this function, the Data Integration Engineer will contribute to implementing and managing solutions in TVNZ integration landscape and support the technical decision making to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and future proof.

Your focus will be on:

  • Technical delivery in TVNZ enterprise integration function. Assist with overall integration architecture and technology decisions where possible.
  • Contribute to managing of current integration landscape including legacy on-premises systems. Participate in shaping the future state of TVNZ integration and migrating end-of-life integration to the cloud.
  • Participate in defining TVNZ integration standards and frameworks for modularity and reusability. Follow these guidelines to ensure choice of solution aligns with TVNZ technology direction and minimise rework.
  • Design, implement and document well-architected cloud integration solutions, work closely with Architects for ARB (Architecture Review Board) approvals to ensure the solution is sound, fit-for-purpose and future proof.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical background in C#/.net development is desired, in-depth knowledge of different development paradigms such as OOP, DDD, TDD etc.
  • Deep understanding of Integration Patterns, standards, and protocols (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML etc), experience with Enterprise async messaging systems such as MQ, Kafka, Service bus etc.
  • Solid experience in integration APIs development (and its infrastructure configurations) in the context of API as product. Capable of delivering in both top down and bottom-up approach using industry standards in API eco system such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
  • Exposure to Cloud integration design patterns, Microsoft Azure preferred. Hands on experience on Azure integration service offerings such as but not limited to Azure Function App, Azure Logic App, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event hub/Event Grid, APIM, ADF.
  • Familiar with container technology such as docker, and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Understand the trade-off between different solutions. E.g. serverless vs containers.
  • Appreciate the value of infrastructure as code (IaC), CICD and automation, hands-on experience authoring and configuring automation pipelines to drive efficient code build and deployment.
