Te Haeata/The Opportunity

Provider and Community Services (PCS) work with community organisations who are contracted to deliver a range of community justice services including Victim Support, Community Law Centres, Restorative Justice, Family Disputes Resolution, and Family Violence services.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our small, dynamic team, responsible for managing projects, contracts, and procurement activities that support the wider PCS team.

As a senior advisor in our team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a range of functions that contribute to the success of our contracted services.

Your primary responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborating with teams across PCS and the Ministry to evaluate and review services, ensuring they align with service objectives and the Ministry's goals and standards.
  • Managing some strategic or new contracts, developing great relationships with our providers and conducting stakeholder engagement as required.
  • Designing and implementing procurement strategies for services, ensuring approaches used meet business needs.
  • Creating all necessary project, contract, or procurement documentation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and thoroughness in the process.
  • Supporting the delivery of reporting functions within PCS.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrate exceptional relationship management skills and be able to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of people to achieve shared goals.
  • Be a confident public speaker who can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver timely, high-quality advice that is well-informed.
  • Have excellent plain English writing skills, ensuring that all communication is clear and concise.
  • Have experience in procurement or contract management or be working towards a relevant qualification in procurement.
  • Be flexible and resilient, able to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage your time well, ensuring that competing priorities are progressing.

This role is a secondment or fixed-term opportunity until December 2025. It is full-time and based in Wellington. If you are an internal applicant, please discuss this opportunity with your manager before applying.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $97,208 and $135,539 based on skills and experience.
