Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:An opportunity has arisen for a Regulatory Specialist to join the Business System Delivery and Assurance (BSDA) team with Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery Branch.
The Building System Delivery & Assurance team is responsible for a range of building regulatory functions involving regulatory compliance, monitoring and assurance, and service delivery. These functions include monitoring of Building Consent Authorities and Territorial Authorities, building products assurance, oversight of CodeMark as the building product certification scheme, and assessment of MultiProof applications.
This role calls for a focus on supporting our regulatory delivery functions across the team.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required- Experience working in a regulatory compliance environment and/or the building system.
- Experience applying the policies and procedures associated with the regulatory processes that are relevant to this role.
- Experience using your knowledge and judgment to give advice and influence decision making.
- Ability to understand and apply knowledge of the Building Act and other relevant legislation to decision making.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders, including undertaking projects with representatives from sector organisations.
- Good technical writing ability.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
