BestStart Flat Bush is looking for a keen and passionate Teacher in Training who is eager to strive for excellence and make a meaningful impact on tamariki. If you're in your first or second year of study in a Level 7 ECE programme and aspire to become a skilled and confident educator, we want to hear from you

We create a warm, engaging, and safe environment filled with aroha. We strive to build strong relationships with tamariki and their whānau, ensuring every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to take charge of their own learning. Our Kaiako are dedicated to nurturing infant and toddler development, using hands-on experiences and thoughtfully designed environments to inspire curiosity and growth.

This is a permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday).

What We're Looking For:

  • Enrolled in a Level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma
  • Keen to learn and develop your teaching practice
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum and extending children's learning
  • Knowledge of ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki, and compliance
  • Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
  • Passion for teaching and learning, with a drive for delivering quality education
