The Role:
Join the STILL Group for a 12-month contract as a Health and Safety Manager, where you'll play a key role in enhancing health and safety performance across our diverse businesses. Working closely with the leadership team and site management in each organisation, you'll ensure best practice compliance, support the implementation of safety systems, and help cultivate a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
This role is designed to support the completion of a comprehensive health and safety review, embed new systems and training, and set the foundation for the companies to take full responsibility for health and safety moving forward.
Core Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Systems Maintenance: Ensure compliance with New Zealand health and safety laws, support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, assist in risk management, help with incident investigations, and manage contractors' adherence to safety standards.
- Site Support and Guidance: Provide health and safety advice and leadership across company locations, conduct site audits and inspections, assist in training and awareness programs, and collaborate with site teams to address health and safety challenges.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Collect and analyse health and safety data, help develop performance reports, and track progress against health and safety targets.
- Project Support: Assist with health and safety projects and initiatives, and support the development of new safety programs.
Your Profile:
With over 15 years' experience in health and safety management, you'll bring a wealth of expertise in developing and implementing robust safety systems across diverse industries. Throughout your career, you have successfully led initiatives to enhance a safe culture, ensure compliance with local and national regulations, and reduce workplace risks. Your experience spans multi-site environments, leveraging your knowledge of legislation, risk management, and incident investigation to create sustainable safety solutions that protect both people and businesses.
A natural leader and relationship builder, you'll enjoy working in diverse environments - each with their own unique Health & Safety focus. You'll enjoy working alongside some talented CEO's and General Managers and being a part of the STILL team.
We are looking for a proactive and experienced health and safety professional with a deep understanding of New Zealand health and safety legislation and a proven track record of driving safety improvements across multiple sites.
