In this position you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Group's IT technical requirements. This includes infrastructure cloud services, and security, ensuring the seamless operation and future-proofing of the company's IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the complete lifecycle management of IT infrastructure.
  2. Build and grow an infrastructure strategy that supports business growth with highly available, performance-oriented solutions.
  3. Safeguard the integrity of the Group's IT identity.
  4. Design and maintain a robust network and security architecture to meet future needs.
  5. Develop and implement effective IT security strategies, ensuring adaptability to change and growth.
  6. Maintain and enforce IT security standards.
  7. Oversee high-quality intrusion detection processes and response systems.
  8. Manage data backup and recovery operations across the organisation.
  9. Design and maintain innovative disaster recovery strategies and plans.
  10. Optimise connectivity, resilience, and performance of IT systems.
  11. Manage Azure services, focusing on cost efficiency and functionality.
  12. Oversee contractor service delivery to ensure quality outcomes.
  13. Comply with the Groups quality, environmental, and health and safety procedures to foster a culture of continuous improvement and a safe workplace, adhering to current Worksafe NZ requirements.
  14. Demonstrate professional and ethical conduct, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  15. Stay informed and comply with all organisational policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Extensive hands-on experience with designing and supporting Azure, network, and security services in complex hybrid environments.
  2. Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity controls and incident response strategies.
  3. Proven team leadership abilities.
  4. Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including vendor management expertise.
  5. Knowledge of ITIL and project delivery frameworks.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Experience leading a national or international multi-site network or the ambition to take this next step.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Tertiary qualification in a related field or equivalent experience.

Desirable Qualifications:

  1. Industry certifications for cloud, server, and hardware vendors.
  2. PRINCE2 certification.

  2. Ability to translate technical concepts into everyday language.
  3. Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
  4. Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.

  6. Commitment to knowledge sharing within the Infrastructure Team and the broader IT Team.

Work Experience (preferable):

  1. A minimum of 5 years in a technical infrastructure role.
  2. 2+ years in a management role with similar responsibilities.

Desirable Experience:

  1. Experience migrating on-premise workloads to cloud solutions.
