Horizon School, a state-integrated Y1-13 area school nestled in the beautiful Mahurangi Peninsula, is seeking a passionate and skilled teacher to join our vibrant team. We are committed to creating an environment where students grow in faith, hope, and love, while striving for academic excellence.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons to Y7 to 13 students, with a primary focus on Y7-8 Science. The role offers the opportunity to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love of learning, particularly through hands-on and inquiry-based approaches.

Start date 28/04/2025 or by negotiation.

The successful candidate:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons to students as part of a supportive team. A strength in delivering the Science curriculum would be preferable, or alternatively, a Primary teacher who would enjoy the opportunity to teach this age group would be an ideal fit.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified, NZ registered teacher
  • Is excited about helping young learners develop their academic skills while nurturing their emotional and social growth.
  • Is committed to the values of Christian education and can create a supportive, faith-based learning environment for students.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and can effectively engage students in dynamic, student-centered learning experiences.
