The Who
Back in 1988, our founders had an ambitious dream to form the largest independent travel specialist in the world and to set the example of how touring and travel should be done. The belief that travel is one of the most emotive experiences you undertake and our ambition to make this experience the absolute best it can be for the traveller, has become the guiding principle for TAG.
We believe that through a bespoke, high-touch and personal service, we can alleviate the stress and complexity of travel. So, whether it is a business meeting to close a deal, an event to meet industry peers or a gig for 50,000 screaming fans, we will get our clients to where they need to be feeling ready to take on the world.
The Why
At TAG, our company values matter. We appreciate our staff working as a Team, having Ambition and being Genuine.
You will have a passion for the job you do, as well as a drive to want to do better—in return, TAG will support your growth and development, as well as offer opportunities to progress or maybe even change tack
The What
As a Senior Event Manager you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you'll be getting involved with:
- Plan events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience and objectives.
- Provide a complete and comprehensive service from inquiry and proposal through to booking and completion, with a proactive and consultative approach.
- Manage all aspects of event execution, including pre-event preparation, event deployment and post event review and administration.
- Arrange travel requirements for delegates as required.
- Prepare budgets related to events and ensure adherence.
- Manage a variety of events simultaneously and assist at larger events while delivering the highest standards with a personalised and individual approach to each client.
- Take responsibility for ensuring the health and safety aspects of managed events.
- Source and negotiate the best rates from vendors and suppliers and actively seek to maximise savings, reduce client expenditure, and increase company profitability.
- Manage existing clients effectively, creating and leveraging opportunities to generate additional business from existing clients and assisting in generating business from new clients.
- Manage the budgets and finances for all events, taking responsibility for ensuring the profit levels are in line with the work required and risk taken. Complete a post-event reconciliation with all final costs incurred with suppliers for each event.
- Creatively prepare proposals, including event design, attend venue show rounds, entertain clients, and actively network in the industry.
- Travel internationally to coordinate and oversee client events.
- In the absence of team members assume greater responsibility or complete administrative tasks and/or provide coverage to ensure the smooth running of the events department and client support.
- Proactively assist and support the Events Team to ensure the department operates effectively, successfully, and profitably.
- Demonstrate attention to detail so that errors are reduced and kept to a minimum.
- Proactively seek ways to improve functionality for the department by suggesting ideas for improved practices.
- Ensure all tasks are responded to, processed and completed promptly, accurately, and within deadlines.
- Bring any areas of concern or potential problems to the immediate attention of the line manager.
- Show professionalism at all times and promote positive working relationships with all levels of staff across the department.
- Attending FAM trips, pro-actively research, and continually expand knowledge and understanding of the Events industry, including venues, properties, and destinations.
- Mentor junior and new members of the team.
- Adhere to company PCI requirements.

We revel in making the seemingly impossible possible, always rising to the challenge with ambition and a genuine, open attitude.
We work flexibly to accommodate our TAG team colleagues, meaning on occasion there could be requirements outside of office hours to manage time zones and other work commitments. - 5+ years of experience within the event industry (Events agency preferred).
- Experience of working on at least 10 events internationally.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
