To support our mission, we're looking for a permanent, full-time Facilities Operator to join our fantastic Hastings team. If you're passionate about making a real difference in your community and enjoy hands-on work, we'd love to hear from you

About The Role

Based from our depot in Whakatu, you'll play a vital role in keeping Hastings' CBD public facilities clean, safe and functional. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Scheduled cleaning of public bathrooms, bus stops, and barbecue areas
  2. Responding promptly to reactive callouts when issues arise
  3. Restocking essential supplies such as toilet paper
  4. Supporting the team with general rubbish collection and park asset cleaning as needed

This role will require weekend work, so you must be available and able to work if rostered.

What We're Looking For

While previous cleaning experience would be great, it's not essential. If you're reliable, hardworking, and passionate about making a difference, you'd make a perfect candidate. Other key attributes we are looking for include:

  1. A full driver's licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle
  2. Good communication skills and able to interact with the public if needed
  3. Self-motivation, a strong work ethic and able to work with minimal supervision
  4. Physical fitness with a desire to get stuck in
