Responsibilities- You must be a good communicator as we expect you to talk with customers and communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure we do what we say we will.
- Lead the way with fresh thinking in the areas of managed networks, network security, wireless and mobile networks, network design and architecture, network lifecycle management, new technology envisioning and overall implementation of robust network platforms for our customers.
- You will write technical proposals and detailed change requests that succeed.
- Document clear and concise solution as-builts.
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, Wireless).
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including firmware/IOS upgrades, hot fixes and security configurations.
- Help us implement, continually improve, configure and tune automated management tools used to deliver our network management services.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to our clients network infrastructure.
- Select and implement best practice security tools, policies, and procedures in alignment with our clients security policies.
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
- Be a master at working with and managing expectations across multiple technology vendors, on behalf of our customers.
- Strong planning, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.
- CCNP or higher (with a strong desire to achieve CCIE).
- Expert knowledge: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, Nexus, LAN Switching, VSS, vPC.
- Strong experience with implementation and support of wireless solutions from Cisco, Aerohive, Fortinet or Meraki.
- Experience with Network Security platforms from Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Meraki.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
- Any experience in the following areas is highly desirable but not necessary – Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, SD-Access, Python, Linux, AWS/Azure, Viptella, Meraki.
- 5+ years of General Enterprise Networking Knowledge and Experience (Cisco).
- Hands on experience in troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintaining firewalls (Fortinet Firewalls and Checkpoint Firewalls are preferred).
- Cisco Catalyst Centre, Cisco ISE, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki Network and Wireless, and VeloCloud SDWAN experience is preferable.
- Knowledge and exposure to Linux OS Administration is also desirable.

A degree or relevant work experience, preferably with 5+ years of General Enterprise Networking (Cisco) and vendor certifications relating to Network and Security (Cisco, VeloCloud SDWAN, Check Point, Fortinet, etc.).
