Millwright

The Millwright's role is to maintain and perform repairs to all equipment and machine systems for facilities and production.

Responsibilities:

1. Respond to work orders assigned by Maintenance Supervisor and service calls in a timely fashion in order to keep downtime to a minimum.
2. Perform preventative maintenance inspections as per recurring work orders and solicit guidance from production for any other occurring problems and issues.
3. Log parts out of inventory and record as necessary.
4. Report and communicate any problems or changes made via the logbook, ensuring information is shared with all team members.
5. Work to meet standards of internal quality control systems.
6. Report all dangerous behaviour or unsafe conditions to the appropriate supervisor.
7. Behave in a professional manner to fellow associates and managers at all times.
8. Participate in training as required.
9. Perform other related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is not required and the work does not exceed own limitations. Be a safety advocate; lead by example by complying with all plant and Occupational Health and Safety policies.
10. Additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Education, and Skills:

1. Valid Industrial Millwright Certificate of Qualification.
2. 3-5 years previous millwright experience.
3. Previous MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding experience.
4. Competent in welding, pipefitting, machine building, fabricating and rigging with a good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting.
5. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
6. Experience operating all general-purpose machine shop equipment.
7. Ability to work as a member of a team with minimal supervision.
8. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Other:

1. Starting wage: $44.75/hour (This includes a $2.00/hour shift premium).
2. Continental Shift - 12 hours, rotation 7-7.
