Ever wondered about the magic behind parcel delivery? It's a tale of teamwork, cutting-edge and data-led technology, and some truly awesome people. All united by one mission - to deliver for New Zealand. Ready to be a part of that story?

Are you looking for an opportunity to flex your proven experience leading complex IT infrastructure environments in a collaborative and forward-focused way? Reporting to our Technology Operations Manager, this is a rare opportunity to do just that.

As an organisation, we are on a journey focused on ensuring the IT environment and infrastructure we provide for our business and our customers is the best it can possibly be. This role is a critical piece of that journey, ensuring IT Infrastructure services are managed as a business and aligned with NZ Post's strategic and team objectives. Partnering collaboratively with our third-party suppliers and vendors will be a key focus of this role, ensuring we are making sound financial IT Infrastructure decisions and delivering a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose IT operating environment to the NZ Post business and our customers.

This role will be expected to demonstrate credible and trusted expertise leading the implementation of IT infrastructure strategies, ensuring optimal performance of both on-prem and cloud services.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will already have operated within a role that is of a similar size and scale to this one. We are a complex IT environment, and to be successful in this role, you will need to flex your already tested and proven experience. You'll relish the opportunity to help enable our organisation to be future-fit and industry-leading.

Your stakeholder management and influencing skills will be one of your biggest assets. Your ability to work collaboratively alongside both internal and external teams at all levels of an organisation will be tried and tested. You'll be an industry expert with experience covering Midrange Architecture, infrastructure, and operating environments, coupled with sound knowledge of Windows and Linux operating environments and experience working with Cloud infrastructure. Knowledge of VMWare/Broadcom virtualisation software would be advantageous.
