Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor of the recently refurbished Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), the Night Shift Maintenance Fitter will oversee all aspects of the maintenance of production, ensuring that their team meets production and quality goals, whilst minimising breakdown time of conveyors & machinery down to a minimum.

Please note, the shift timings for this role is from 9pm to 5am Monday - Friday.

About the role:
  • Preventative Maintenance of plant machinery
  • Assist in the day-to-day efficient running of plant equipment and conveyors
  • Diagnostics and fault finding
  • Adhere to OHS guidelines at all times
  • Identify potential problems or efficiency improvements to a process
  • Communicate and report systems problems to internal management as required
About you:
  • Previous relevant experience as a Maintenance Fitter in the Waste Management/Recycling, Manufacturing, Warehousing, or relevant industry
  • Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade would be highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Sound knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations
  • Good understanding of MRF equipment and ability to troubleshoot
  • Be committed to safe & quality work practices at all times
