The Opportunity

Reporting to the Robotics Plus CFO, our new Financial Analyst will prepare forecasted financial information, including cashflow forecasts and the company budget. You will be able to add significant value to the business with your commercial and financial forecasts, analysis, operational support and by establishing high quality relationships with stakeholders and leaders at all levels, across both the RP business, and the Yamaha Agriculture group.

You'll use your financial and analytical skills to influence decision making that drives sustainable profitability and be a key interface between our Finance team and department leaders, co-ordinating and leading monthly meetings that support financial understanding and actionable insights across the business. Integral to success in this role will be your ability to meet deadlines, your aptitude in finding ways to improve outcomes, your drive to promote shared understanding across the business, and your accuracy (a fine eye for detail).

As part of the broader Finance team, our new Financial Analyst will contribute to the provision of financial information and drive financial efficiency that supports and aligns with RP's business goals. The primary goal of our Finance team is to support the business to achieve strong financial performance and long-term value for our stakeholders.

Skills and Experience required

  • Degree qualification in business and finance, or accounting
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant accounting concepts and frameworks
  • Budgeting and forecasting system experience
  • Financial and accounting systems knowledge
  • Advanced excel modelling and analytical skills
  • A natural flair to build and maintain robust relationships, and to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure as part of an effective, cross-functional, global team
  • A proactive and curious mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and eager to challenge the status quo
  • Advanced strategic analysis, able to identify trends and anomalies in complex data and make appropriate inferences
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis
  • A positive attitude with a high level of personal resilience and flexibility to navigate new challenges in our fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing, technology or export led environment would be advantageous
  • Project management system with transformation/change management experience (desirable)
  • System experience with Xero accounting and Power BI (desirable)

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our brand-new, custom-built HQ, located at 241 Taurikura Drive, Tauriko.
