Background & Purpose of the Job
As a Manufacturing shift Jr. Supervisor, you will be leading various initiatives on shift that play a crucial role to meet the shift targets IE: Safety, QA, OEE, Volume and Waste. You will support the shift supervisor in coordinating with other departments programs such as SHE, QA, UMS, Logistics and Mix across the factory. You will play an active role to uphold Safety & Morale of the employee's as a value in the factory and will ensure compliance to quality always as a priority.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
- Ensuring required checks on Safety, Quality, Production are completed per shift.
- Safety & Quality - Data collection for Incidents/Investigations, verify washes while partnering with Sanitation and oversee the line washing process and verify effectiveness.
- Production Lines record and on-site verifications - CCPs, OPRPs, GMP, line check sheets, checkweigher, CRQS, storage, allergen, primary packaging, code date, visual inspection, etc.
- Support the Shift Supervisor on execution and verification of the quality, SHE and food safety programs in production (HACCP- CCP-OPRP, prevention of cross contamination, allergen, dry floor, vision system, code date, PAR etc.).
- With cross functional teams in document Management-Creating/Changes/Updating SOPs/WIs/Forms in line with AM / R2S Standards.
- Labor Management - Cover shift manning for own and next shift – Absenteeism/OT/Rotations, Employee Disciplinary File, Posting/Allocating Unplanned overtime, Support shift supervisor with dealing with people issues as applicable, Calculate production needs/hours/supplies, Employee performance reviews.
- Support Maintenance as needed to Initiate EWO's, Support Assign/Prioritize with mechanics.
- Lead/participate in OEE/waste reduction initiatives.
- Work on projects that would support individual growth in line with 3+1.
- Being an active participant in the UMS / R2S Requirements.
