About the role:

In this permanent full-time role based in Christchurch, you will report directly to the National Operations Manager. You'll be on the road, installing and servicing equipment for end-user customers in washroom consumables, including dispensers, feminine hygiene bins, air fresheners, hand dryers, and more. Additionally, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning washroom facilities using a specialised system of cleaning products. The role is Monday to Friday (early start between 6am-8am) and will require you at times to enter sections of a hospital that are designated as females only.

As a Hygiene Service Technician, you will visit customer sites, providing both service and customer support.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Install new equipment and maintain existing equipment
  • Replenish consumables as well as clean, and sanitise equipment
  • Conduct thorough cleaning of washroom areas, such as toilets, sinks, porcelain bowls, and showers
  • Perform chemical checks as required for individual customer sites
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports while maintaining accurate records and completing all necessary paperwork and electronic documents
  • Upsell and cross sell service and products to customers
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Undertake general warehouse duties such as order picking and packing
About you:
  • You will have experience working in a field role and you're competent with tools and installing equipment. Perhaps you are already in the hygiene industry, or in a servicing role.
  • This is a customer-facing role, so you must also have superb communication and customer service skills and the ability to upsell and cross sell other products to your customers.
  • You are an energetic and reliable person with a positive and can-do attitude and able to work safely and efficiently without supervision.
  • You are a practical self-starter who is confident to proactively offer solutions within your work and to the customer including diagnosing errors or technical problems and able to determine proper solutions.
  • You will hold a current full NZ Driver's Licence.
